Operation at Mill House during Covid-19

Mill House is now operating as a self contained cottage for one group sleeping 2-4 guests with a cosy snug and outside sitting areas.

In this way I hope there is less risk of cancellation by both parties due to any changes in travel/lockdown advice given by the Government. Also more importantly it helps to ensure the safety of one another, which is paramount and allows us to maintain the social distancing requirements set by public health England.

There is a fridge/freezer and chiller in the snug, and a wee kitchen area with two burner electric hob, a full size conventional oven, small microwave, toaster and kettle. There is a dining table and tables outdoors for alfresco breakfasts and suppers in good weather and the log burner for dinner in front of a cosy fire.

I will provide a welcome stock so you can have a cuppa and biscuit on arrival and continental breakfast supply for your first breakfast. These will be in the cottage for your arrival.

Bedding ( pillows, quilts and protectors) will all be changed for new guests, if you would prefer to bring your own pillow and duvet I will not be offended, just let me know so that I can store bedding safely and leave clean linen and towels only.

These are difficult and challenging times and I have been struggling with how to provide and maintain my friendly welcoming service for guests…I shall always endeavour to go that extra mile and hope that with mutual understanding all will continue to have a wonderful experience whilst staying at Mill House. There is also new self catering accommodation in our luxurious Hare Lodge sleeping 2-4 guests.

The wonderful pubs and restaurants close by are open and many offering take away service too. The Running Fox at Shilbottle and Felton are only a short drive if you would like to spoil yourself with a cooked breakfast (my favourite breakfast escape!). Remember to book ahead as proprietors are operating reduced covers. Also check out our local brewery tap Rigg & Furrow it’s a 10 minute walk….downhill home :0)

I hope you are all well and coming through this exceptional experience stronger, I do hope to welcome you over the coming months or year.

Any questions or concerns please get in touch.

Kindest

Karen
